Katelyn vs. The Pizza Crust

Adam put Katelyn in here highchair, but he had left the pizza dough on her tray while he did so. She thought it was FABULOUS! And we thought it was just too funny!

I had a little extra fabric from some pillow cases I made. This was a perfect thing to do with it.

The kids took swim lessons for a couple of weeks. They had a lot of fun- especially going down the slide.

I thought April was going to be afraid of the water, but she did really great!

4th of July

We've been in our house for four 4th of July's now. Every year we've had some friends over and we all light off our fireworks in the front.

April wasn't all that sure about them, but would stay outside as long as she was with someone.
Melanie became April's person of choice. It was cute. John loved it! Between us and all the neighbors there was plenty to look at.

Playing in the Rain

The summer is monsoon season in Vegas. And this year we've had some great storms! The rain was coming down like crazy this particular Sunday. We were finishing up dinner and I couldn't resist a nice play time in the rain.

Right next to the garage wasn't too bad. The house blocked a lot of the rain.
But at the end of the sidewalk it was coming down like crazy. You can see John and I splashing in the puddle here.Daddy and John heading back for cover.
You can see how soaked I am after a few times out. But April needed a turn, too.

Carousel

For the summer the carousel at the District is offering free rides. It sounded like a perfect family home evening. We took the kids down there for a "surprise" and ended up riding it 5 times in a row. I love free stuff!

Katelyn took a little time to warm up, but eventually she did.
April loved it. She was VERY upset when it was time to go.

Daddy Discipline

April and John were fighting, so Adam walked over to them and said, "HEY!" John went to one corner and April to another without another word. It was too funny! Adam and I couldn't stop laughing, but we were trying really hard not to let the kids know that.

It's Always Fun When Grandpa Comes

Another plus to Vegas- conventions. The last couple of years Grandpa John has come to Vega to work a convention and then is able to stay for a long weekend with us. Alli and Seth were able to come too and we had a fun time all together.

Katelyn bonded quickly with Grandpa. Like I say, you just have to smile at Katelyn and she is your friend.

Bowling with Grandpa has become an expected tradition-especially when it comes to John. Grandpa always destroys us, but it's fun anyway. :-)
