7 months pregnant

Only 2 months to go.

Our Life These Days

April LOVES matching dresses with her dolly, Betty. Thanks Aunt Alli!
Tuna casserole everywhere!
April has been dumping out buckets of toys and telling me that she is watering her garden. Well, I got tired of the mess, so Adam and I let John and April each get a flower so that they could have a real garden to water. John was upset when it rained for a week. He said that Heavenly Father was watering his garden, but Johnny wanted to!
Katelyn loves here brother and sister. She is always all smiles when we pick up John from school- Katelyn is just so excited to see him. April and Katelyn like to play together. The other day April decided to give Katelyn a bath and dumped and couple of cups of water on her hear. Katelyn was such a good sport about it. I never would have known if she hadn't been sopping wet!
I love matching outfits! They must be from a cool grandma. :-)

Party for John and April

We decided to throw an informal birthday party for John and April. We put out a slip and slide, small pool, sprinkler, and our ever popular roller coaster (thanks Erin!). We said no presents, but we did do a cake. The kids all had a lot of fun and it was a nice excuse to have friends come and visit.

I thought the cake turned out very cute- if I do say so myself.
Blowing out the candles.
Having fun in the water.
The slip and slide doubles as a drinking fountain.

Dinosaur Park

We decided to take the kids up to Dinosaur Park to check it out. I'd heard it was a fun place. It had a HUGE 3 story playground, a place to dig for "fossils" and a spray park. The kids had a lot of fun cooling down in the water.
The alligator sprayed water out of it's mouth.

Picture Time

These are John's 5 year-old pictures.

John's Birthday

On John's birthday we had a small family party at home. We had turkey sandwiches at his request and a cake with blue sprinkles. I can't believe he is 5 already!

John's First Day of Kindergarten

I can't believe my baby is old enough for Kindergarten! Thankfully, he was quite excited to go. He is in duel language program- half day English/ half day Spanish. This first day he came home and said, "It's too long." But now he's adjusted and doing great! By Thursday of the first week, he saw the playground and took off to go play. I had to call after him to tell me good-bye. He tells me first thing after school every day that he was good boy. I'm glad he's liking school!
It says, "Kindergarten 2011". Every year I'll have him write a new one for the new grade. It will be fun to watch him and his handwriting grow.
