Shark Reef

For Teacher Appreciation Week we were able to take the family to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay for free. John and April loved it!

Teaching Moments

Conversation I overheard John having with Katelyn-

"Daddy goes to work. He takes care of us. Jesus take care of us too. He's at the temple. When I get BIGGER I go to the temple too."

Ashley

Ashley is April's favorite dolly and an absolute must if she is going to go to sleep. Today she and I were looking around the house trying to find Ashley before April's nap. I hear April, "Ashley! Where are you? Woo-oo (trying to whistle)."

Luckiest Mom Ever

I've been thinking a lot about what a lucky mom I am. I know people who seem to complain all the time about their life, especially their kids. I have GREAT kids. Yes, they have their moments, but there are so many more moments that they smile and get along and just make my life worth living. I've always known that I wanted to be a mom more than anything else on this planet, but actually being one is better than all the plans.

John told me the other day that I was lucky because I have three cute kids. He's so right. And yesterday he told me he was lucky because he has a happy family. 4 years old and he already knows what a blessing that is.

We've had a bit of a surprise with the news that we are expecting number 4 about Thanksgiving this year. This one just snuck in here a little early, but we already knew our family wasn't complete. We are so blessed that Heavenly Father sees fit to send us these beautiful babies, that love each other and make our lives better. I can't imagine living without the three I have and I'm sure that I will feel the same way about #4.

Birthday Cruise

For my birthday Adam took me on a dinner cruise on Lake Mead. It was a beautiful night and we LOVED the views on the lake and of Hoover Dam and the new bypass bridge. What a nice way to be spoiled for your birthday!

The Kids

John has taken to saluting me. When ever I ask him to do something he salutes me and says, "Yes, sir!" He loves preschool and I can't believe he starts Kindergarten in the fall!
April loves telling everyone in Nursery what to sing next. Everyone tells me it's not a huge issue but I don't really want her to be the bossy. At least she knows what she wants, right? She does love to sing though. On time she was singing the same 4 songs for a half hour. I tried to sing her something else. She listened, but as soon as I finished (not even time for a breath) she started singing what she wanted to again. That girl!
Katelyn got her bottom two teeth at 4 1/2 months old! Also, the other day I went to get her up from her nap and she was cuddling with her dollys. It was too cute! I think I have another April in the making.
